Hello Hello
03:14
|
|||
I wish you'd pick that damn thing up, 'cause I really want to say
Hello hello
I've been listening to your voice in my head all day
Hello hello
So hello hello, hello hello
Hello hello, hello hello
I packed my head up in a box so I wouldn't think of you
I had to turn my head and cough, but the doctor had no clue
I went there looking for a cure, but there was nothing he could do
So hello hello
I really tried to walk away
Hello hello
Just one step, just one day
Hello hello
You don't know what I'm going through
But if you do, then
Hello hello
It's really just a simple word
Hello hello
Nothing that you haven't heard
Hello hello
And if I say it with a smile and make you smile
Then I could fly for miles
I could fly for miles
So hello hello
Hello hello
I was just wondering how you are
Yeah, I'm good too

Gray Day
02:14
|
|||
Gray day, Monday morning
Who's that looking out your window
Watch the bus go by
Underneath the graying sky
And if you want it there's a paper at your doorstep
Trip through the pages with another cup of coffee
On a gray day, Monday morning
Watch the white trash on some talk show
Skinhead, inbred bigots
Vomit in your livingroom
And if you want it you can change the channel
Watch the news
And see the senators, all bought and paid for
Whining on a gray day
Gray day
Gray day
Gray day
And if you want you can go back to bed
And sleep away
Or you can shower and shave
And charge into your day
But on a gray day what's the hurry?
Have another cup of coffee
Kick back, put your feet up
You're not going to save the world
And if you want you can just wait for it to turn around
No need to hurry
You can always save the world tomorrow

Forgiven
04:06
|
|||
I won't be forgiven
For the way I want you girl
She just won't understand
How this could happen to her man
So go away
And take your pretty face too
'Cause I won't be forgiven
I won't be around here
So don't you come lookin' for me
Don't come knockin' at my door
I won't answer anymore
I've got to be strong
'Cause I know you are my weakness
'Cause I won't be forgiven
When all that a kiss is
Is only the distance between your lips and mine
I can't fight temptation
That sweet-sin-sensation
I'm only a man
And I won't be forgiven
For the way I'm lookin' at you know
And how you're lookin' back at me
It's so easy to see
That we could be good together
We could be bad
And I won't be forgiven
So go away
And take your pretty face too
'Cause I won't be forgiven

Little Wild One
04:44
|
|||
Who knows you head to toe,
Who knows you ear to ear?
Who knows what you're thinkin' about,
Before you speak, what he's gonna hear?
Who wakes with you in the morning,
And lies with you every night?
Who knows what you're all about,
Lights your fuse when the lights go out?
I want to be the air you breathe
I want to be the one you need
So won't you stay with me
My little wild one
Who's there when you need him?
Who comes to you when you call?
Who's toothbrush is in your rack?
Who's towel is on your floor?
Who's always there with a shoulder
To rest your weary mind?
Who's there to rub your back
And help you leave it all behind
Well I want to be the air you breathe...
You float through my dreams
When I close my eyes
And I believe all my own lies
So won't you stay with me
My little wild one
Oh my little wild one
I wanna know you head to toe
I wanna know you ear to ear
I wanna know what you're thinkin' about
Before you speak, what I'm gonna hear
And wake with you every morning
And lie with you every night
I wanna know what you're all about
And light your fuse when the lights go out
I wanna be the air you breathe
So won't you stay with me
My little wild one

Remember Summertime
03:47
|

Remember summertime
When you called me yours
And I called you mine
When everything was green
And fresh and young
And so were you and I
And now I dig through autumn leaves
To find our summertime
We soared through summertime
We ran and jumped
And flew away everytime
We hardly ever touched the ground
Looking down as the ground
Fell away
And now I look up at the sky
And think of summer days
How would I know you
If I saw you once again?
It was so long ago my friend
It seems like yesterday
Our names together
On the sidewalk in the sun
Rains came
The chalk began to run
And all our time flowed away
Now it's summertime
I hardly noticed
I just haven't had the time
To watch the children run
And dance in the sun
With hardly a care
Was it all that long ago
That you and I were there?
How would I know you
If I saw you once again?
It was so long ago my friend
It seems like yesterday
Our names together
On the sidewalk in the sun
Rains came
The chalk began to run
And all our time flowed away
Remember summertime

Jim Pellinger Minneapolis, Minnesota
Singer-songwriter Jim Pellinger’s music charts a course set by his influences, the Beatles, first and foremost. But as a reviewer noted, “His sound and method are that of, say, Tom Petty or maybe Elvis Costello albeit he sounds like neither.” Another reviewer of Jim’s first release heard “strains of John Hiatt, Squeeze, R.E.M., and a little bit of Simon and Garfunkel within Jim’s songs” ... more
